ISLPR Assessments

AMES can assess your language against the International Second Language Proficiency Rating Scale (ISLPR).

The ISLPR provides a rating from 0 (no English) to 5 (Native speaker) for each of the four skill areas: Speaking, Listening Reading and Writing. If required, a report on each of these skills can be provided.

The cost of the ISLPR assessment to private individuals is $105 for a standard test and $160 for a test and written report. Clients who go on to commence study with AMES will have the cost of their test deducted from the cost of their tuition. Fees are not charged to AMEP clients for language assessment.

• your nearest AMES Education site, or
• Goulburn Ovens TAFE at Fryers St, Shepparton (1300 468 233) to book an appointment for testing.

Costs at GO TAFE may differ from the above.

Teacher Assessments

Assessments for teaching in Victoria are only available at AMES Melbourne City.
