The Skilled Professional Migrants Program (SPMP) was designed to assist qualified skilled professionals who have recently arrived in Australia.

The selection process for the SPMP consists of an interview and an evaluation of your written and spoken English skills. Attend information session and ISLPR interview.
Practical Placement (Optional)
Practical placement preparation is delivered after satisfactory completion of the Skilled Professtional Migrants Program. This training also includeds OH&S modules.

Skilled Migration Scheme
The Skilled Migration Scheme is a program specifically designed for skilled migrants who choose to migrate into designated areas of Australia. In the state of Victoria, AMES delivers the English Language Course for all those who do not have the required vocational English language skills.
Entitlement:
- 200 hours of English language assistance
- 50 hours of independent study in the Individual Learning Centre
A range of English language learning options will be discussed during your initial assessment. Then the an Action Plan will be prepared and a referal to an appropriate AMES centre will be arranged.
Course details:
Before you arrive your sponsor/agent should fill the AMES Registration Form and pay AMES $2,000 on your behalf. We will provide your sponsor with a receipt and a letter acknowledging your registration. You will need to provide these two documents to the overseas DIAC office that is processing your visa application. An administration fee of $140 applies to refunds.
After you arrive in Australia visit AMES and register for the English Language course. You must enrol in this course within six months of arriving and complete it within one year of enrolment.
