CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care

This qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia.

Educators at this level are responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum that meets the requirements of an approved learning framework and for maintaining compliance in other areas of service operations. They use specialised knowledge and analyse and apply theoretical concepts to diverse work situations. They may have responsibility for the supervision of volunteers or other educators.

Early childhood educators work in long daycare centres, family daycare, pre-schools or kindergartens.

This course will prepare you for an Early childhood educator job in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry.
You will be required to study 12 core units and 3 electives.
AMES Australia organises a work placement of 280 hours for each student at a regulated childcare service. All students are supervised during their placement.
Early childhood educators work in long day care centres, family day care, pre-schools or kindergartens.

Classroom-based Learning (Face to face), where you attend AMES' campus with a Teacher/Trainer present
