This course is designed primarily to increase client skills for entry to the workforce. The course content is practical and stimulating.

  • Introduction to IT, coffee making and cash register
  • OHS awareness
  • Work placement of 2 weeks organised by AMES Australia


  • An intermediate level of English is required, however your English level will be assessed on application.
  • AMEP or Victorian Training Guarantee eligibility criteria apply.

The course is free for eligible AMEP students. For non-eligible students, a fee may apply. Download the Fee Schedule or contact AMES to check your eligibility for a concession fee.

There may be extra charges for learning materials, first aid certificate, police check etc.

The course will be run subject to enrolment numbers.

The AMEP is based on accredited curricula delivering 10361NAT Course in Preliminary Spoken and Written English, 10362NAT Certificate I in Spoken and Written English, 10363NAT Certificate II in Spoken and Written English, 10364NAT Certificate III in Spoken and Written English.
AMES is a Registered Training Organisation TOID 0590.
This course is part of the AMEP and is free to eligible AMEP students.
The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training.
