Course overview

This is a short 5 week course that will provide you with hands on experience of work in the wet trades – plastering, tiling, painting and rendering. This is an opportunity to better understand the skills needed for these types of jobs.

  • Workplace communication skills including specific vocabulary for work
  • Options for formal training pathways
  • Introduction to job search skills and online applications 

What jobs can I get after completing this course?

A number of offsite opportunities will be organised for students to experience tasks in a simulated setting – a TAFE training site, a Bunnings hand tools workshop and a local community project.

What further education can I do after completing the course?

  • Your English level will be assessed on application
  • Studied in the AMEP within the last 12 months

  • Full time – 20 hours per week
  • 5 weeks

  • Tuesday 22nd April - Friday 23rd May 2014 or
  • Monday 26th May - Friday 27th June 2014
