Administrative Support Officer

AMES Australia is Victoria’s leading provider of employment, education, training, and settlement services to a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) client base.

AMES Australia currently has an Administrative Support Officer vacancy, which is responsible for a broad range of administrative tasks to support the Senior Executive Assistant in the daily operations of the Office of the CEO.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience providing administrative support in an office environment
  • An understanding of the need for discretion, with the ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential matters
  • Sound organisational and time management skills in a changing environment
  • Ability to work with limited supervision, paying particular attention to detail and processing information according to strict timelines
  • Solid understanding of business processes, including the ability to apply relevant policies and procedures
  • Good oral and written communication skills 
  • Sound computer skills with the ability to effectively utilise word-processing, spreadsheet and database packages
  • Customer service skills for liaison with internal and external AMES Australia customers

This full time position is based in Melbourne CBD and is of fixed term duration for one year.

The remuneration for the Administrative Support Officer is $43,481 per annum plus 9.5% Superannuation.
