Heartlands 2017 Arts Project

This video was created by former Heartlands participant Abdul Ibrahim, mentored by professional editor Steve Clark.

As part of the Heartlands 2017 Arts Project, celebrated during Refugee Week in June, AMES Australia will showcase artistic works created by people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

We are looking for talent in any art form. It could be craft, poetry, drawing, music, dance, manual arts, design, sculpture or even circus.

Selected artists will be supported through workshops, professional development and funding. This opportunity is open to people living in Victoria and New South Wales.

For those interested, please send examples of your work to: events@ames.net.au or call (03) 9938 4772 by 8 January 2017.

Alternatively, if you would like to print out a flyer to consider this opportunity, feel free to download a poster here.
