Local Area Information
Located 25 km south‑east of Melbourne’s CBD, Noble Park has a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial zones and is home to a highly multicultural population. Over the last few years shared public spaces in the area have been revamped and enhanced to improve residents' quality of life.
The area is serviced by two bus services and has multiple train services from Noble Park railway station. Noble Park has schools, shopping centres, and parks, providing amenities for its population. With its mix of diversity, affordability, and accessibility, Noble Park is a lively and welcoming community.
With residents from Vietnam, Cambodia, and India forming a diverse population, the suburb has affordable housing and a strong community spirit, making it attractive for families and new migrants. Noble Park precinct is a community style shopping village which has a range of traditional food specialty stores and a large number of specialised grocery stores catering for specific cultural groups.
Being formerly market gardens, Noble Park has fertile soil and to this day still has a large number of River Red Gum trees. There are a number of parks and reserves and two of the areas current parks have recently been transformed with new improved facilities.
In recent years local and state governments have invested substantially in the area including the Paddy O'Donoghue Community Centre, the redevelopment of Noble Park Railway Station and the construction of the new Aquatic centre which is home to Melbourne's largest water slide.
