Asylum Seeker Language and Literacy Program
The Asylum Seeker Language and Literacy Program (ASLLP) is new initiative by the Department of Education that aims to provide pre-accredited language and literacy programs that meet the specific needs of asylum seekers to help them improve their capability to undertake further education and training or employment.
Part time classes are available during the day and evening, at all Metropolitan Education locations.
- Bridging Visa Subclass E (BVE)
- Safe Haven Enterprise Visa (SHEV)
- Temporary Protection Visa
- Victims of human trafficking and have referrals from the Australian Red Cross Human Trafficking Program
Eligible asylum seekers will only be eligible for one course under the ASLLP capped funding.
