COVID-19 Update February 17

Victoria’s five-day lockdown in response to the latest COVID-19 outbreak will end at midnight tonight after no new cases were reported today.

From midnight the four reasons to leave your home and the five kilometre travel limit will no longer apply.

Face masks will be required outside only when you cannot physically distance 1.5 metres but will be required at all times indoors when away from home.

A maximum of five visitors will be allowed in the home; as well as public gatherings of up to 20 people.

People can return to work with up to 50 per cent capacity and schools will reopen.

Universities and TAFEs will reopen and visits to hospitals and care homes will be limited to one household per day. Retail and hospitality businesses will reopen and religious gatherings, weddings and funerals cane resume.

Other venues, such as gyms and pools, will return to the restriction in placed before the recent five day lockdown.
