All Victorian AMES Australia sites are currently providing services remotely due to Stage 3 and Stage 4 restrictions across the state.

We care about the health and wellbeing of our students and staff.
This web page will be regularly updated with the latest information about COVID-19 (coronavirus).

How is AMES Australia managing COVID-19?

We work closely with the Department of Education and Training (DET) and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) and Department of Education, Skills and Employment (DESE) to plan for, and respond to, the current and potential impact of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) on our clients, students, staff and the wider community.

Have any AMES Australia services been impacted?

AMES Australia continues to operate across our settlement, education, visa and employment services. Some services have been modified to ensure that we can continue to assist our clients and students.

Victoria
Following advice and direction from the DHHS, DET, DESE and DHA we are providing our services remotely and have hibernated all of our Victorian offices during Stage 4 restrictions in Greater Melbourne and Stage 3 restrictions across the rest of Victoria.

Mildura
All service delivery in Mildura is transitioning to remote delivery, including the AMEP, Reconnect and HSP as much as possible. For AMEP clients, there will be online sessions in small groups with teachers. Students can also learn English through their workbooks and myAMES and one on one teacher interaction through WhatsApp, Skype, phone call or messenger. Registration and enrolment of clients are done remotely or one on one if unable to do so remotely under social distancing rules and conditions.

If you are studying at AMES Australia teacher will continue to communicate with you and inform how to participate in class and stay in touch.
