All jobs advertised and posted on the AMES Australia website and external job boards such as SEEK will have application instructions and in most cases a closing date for applications. Most frequently, applications are sent to our Human Resources unit by email at email@example.com. Make sure you insert the reference number of the specific details of the position you wish to apply for in the heading. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, usually by telephone to arrange an interview. Please note that the length of time for replies to applications may vary depending on the circumstances of the selection process.
When AMES Australia advertises roles externally, all vacancies are posted on our website under 'Vacancies' in the Working at AMES Australia section. AMES Australia uses different ways of advertising depending on the position but commonly used publications are: newspaper (The Age or other relevant publications), internet (i.e. www.seek.com.au, or infoxchange.net.au) or by employing a recruitment/search firm to operate on our behalf. When AMES Australia does operate through a recruitment/search firm it is usually for an executive, senior or specialist level position and any advertising by the recruitment/search firm may not necessarily explicitly identify the position is for AMES Australia.

Unfortunately, due to large volumes of enquiries and resumes being sent on an on-going basis, AMES Australia Human Resources cannot keep resumes on file. It will not benefit you in any way to send your resume unsolicited and you will only receive a reply from Human Resources indicating that your details / resume cannot be retained. If you are interested in working for AMES we strongly encourage you to regularly check our 'Vacancies' page and on-line job boards such as SEEK and to apply for suitable positions by the application guidelines provided as the best means of seeking employment with AMES Australia.
All new employees (including casuals and Community Guides) and Volunteer Tutors are required to undergo a Police Check. In many circumstances, AMES Australia will organise and pay for this check.
