What will I learn?

  • Knowledge and understanding of different roles duties and responsibilities for Aged and Disability care.  
  • Duty of care, attitudes to vulnerable and older people, elder abuse
  • Workplace communication skills, such as following instructions, understanding procedures, making phone calls, writing incident reports, messages, filling in forms,…
  • A range of numeracy activities such as rosters, maps, measurement, estimation, weights and time WHS and safe work practices, such as identifying hazards and removing/minimising risk
  • Using technology for work and study, such as using the internet, email, and Microsoft Word

Outcomes:

Advance your readiness for employment or further study in the Caring Sector.

Learners will complete an interview before the start of the course to ascertain their literacy level.
Learners will receive a Certificate of Participation at the end of the course.

Prepares you for CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community)

How will I learn?

The course will be offered

  • Online Learning, where the student studies remotely off campus using training materials that are provided online or correspondence by the Teacher/Trainer
